The Woman’s Club of Coconut Grove is a beautiful wedding venue with indoor and outdoor event spaces. Founded in 1891 as the Housekeeper’s Club, it was originally a place where women could meet and socialize. The founder of The Woman’s Club believed that women struggle with loneliness and isolation, so they needed a private space to unite and maintain a sense of community. The Woman’s Club became a meeting space and sponsor of civic engagement throughout Miami before becoming a nonprofit.
Today, Coconut Grove Events manages The Woman’s Club. The venue has been restored to preserve its historic elegance while adding many modern amenities. The estate still resembles the luxury and charm of its historical roots. In this welcoming place, couples can host the most memorable day of their lives.
Leslie currently runs Coconut Grove Events and is the venue’s owner and principal design planner. She has worked with hundreds of brides-to-be, working with them to design the wedding of their dreams. Details of the Grounds
The Woman’s Club of Coconut Grove can host up to 130 guests at indoor and outdoor wedding sites. The serene garden, featuring lush flowers and large oak trees, is perfect for hosting an outdoor wedding ceremony. The front lawn is great for an intimate dinner reception, too! A bridge leads couples and guests to this stunning grotto. The building’s elegant stone exterior provides the ideal backdrop for photos.
A brick staircase leads from the garden to the Great Room. A large hall that can host indoor ceremonies and receptions. The Great Room’s glass doors let in lots of natural light. Additionally, it features hardwood floors, dazzling chandeliers, and a large stone fireplace.
Couples can exchange vows in front of the beautiful fireplace or use the fireplace as a cozy area to take a break during a long night of dinner and dancing. The Great Room also features a 15-foot steepled Dade County pine ceiling and creates an ambiance of rustic elegance.

After booking the venue, the events team will set up a meeting with the couple to discuss ideas for the big day. The planning process is tailored to each couple’s unique needs. The minimum number of guests required to book this venue is 50, and the maximum capacity for this venue is between 130 and 150. Coconut Grove Woman’s Club is a farm/ranch, garden, and historic type venue with customizable indoor and outdoor spaces to suit various event styles.
Photography Opportunities
The interior of the Great Room is gorgeous, with gentle, romantic lighting that can be accompanied by candles and fireplaces. With warm hardwood floors and large windows, this space creates a soft, romantic glow for reception photography.
The venue’s outdoor space includes hanging lights, manicured lawns, lush trees, lots of sunlight, great views of the building’s exterior, and lots of greenery, creating a magical space for fantastic wedding photos.
In addition to the venue’s spaces, there’s a city park nearby that’s easily walkable with large wedding parties. Or, couples can hire The Miami White Trolly to take them around town in a cute trolly, stopping at local sites for photos. I personally love the park across the street, Peacock Park, or the nearby Prado Entrance for photos (permit required!)

The Women’s Club events team meets with couples to discuss their vision for their wedding day. They design unique looks for the grand event. Couples will work with Coconut Grove Events to create an elegant event that keeps the vintage look of the Woman’s Club of Coconut Grove at the center of the design plan.

The Event Producers and Managers manage every detail, working with vendors to produce a memorable, flawless event. The Woman’s Club is a full-service venue, so the creative design is also taken care of. The production team takes care of everything from room layouts to menu tastings with an award-winning chef and choosing linens and chairs to fine-tuning the wedding timeline. This takes the stress out of the planning process for couples.

The Love and So Much More wedding package include decorative lighting of the Great Room, a candlelit fireplace, garden bistro lighting, floral design, chairs, linens, flatware, dinnerware, glassware, champagne flutes, a five-hour open bar, coffee and tea station, butler-passed appetizers, an elegant plated dinner, wedding cakes, and options for add-ons.
Additional services include extended ceremony time, chair upgrades, a sound system, and a microphone.
This all-inclusive reception package includes five hours of event time in the great room and garden courtyard, a three-course dining experience, DJ services, complimentary garage parking, and a restroom attendant.
The Summer Love Package includes four hours of event time in the elegant great room and garden courtyard, decorative lighting, DJ services, and a one-night stay at The Mutiny Hotel. It also includes table settings, four hours of soda bar service, coffee and tea station, passed appetizers, a buffet-style entree, and a wedding cake. Additional services include extended ceremony time, custom floral centerpieces, uplighting, and candles on the fireplace mantle.
