Michelle and Eric’s destination wedding at the W Hotel Fort Lauderdale was a dream to photograph. Nothing makes me happier than walking into a light-filled bridal suite buzzing with excited bridesmaids and a total bride-CHILLA. If Michelle had any nerves on her wedding day, I didn’t see it.
An August wedding in South Florida can only mean one thing – IT’S HOT. But the W Hotel Fort Lauderdale has so many cool spots indoors to photograph, so we didn’t miss the outdoor scenes at all. After surprising Eric with her blush gown, the couple grabbed some portraits around the bar area, staircase, and even snuck away during cocktail hour for some fun “through-the-jellyfish” shots at the restaurant downstairs.
But let’s not totally skip over the ceremony, and Eric holding back tears as Michelle circled him. Such a sweet moment, you know I’m a sucker for emotional grooms…
With bright, tropi-sexy (look at me making new words) florals and decor by Beautiful Kreations, the W’s dark ballroom came to life with pops of bright pink, yellows, and ivory. Rock With U DJ’s threw an amazing party with a live drummer and saxophonist and the couple had their first dance to John Mayer & Beyonce’s “XO”. I know it’s Bey’s song. I also think John Mayer is my boyf, so…
