I’m so excited to share another fabulous wedding at the W Hotel Fort Lauderdale! It’s such a great wedding venue for those looking to escape the heat of South Florida on their wedding day. The Hotel offers plenty of indoor spaces perfect for modern portraits, spacious getting-ready suites, and if you’re brave enough for beach photos, Fort Lauderdale beach is just steps away. Because they live out of state, I didn’t have the pleasure of meeting Michelle & Will before their wedding day. Some photographers might cringe at that, as they insist on in-person meetings and/or engagement sessions, but I have confidence in my website, social presence, and more importantly, bomb-ass wedding planners that refer me to their couples.
Mia with Meraki Creations sent Michelle & Will my way and was right when she introduced me saying “you’re gonna love her!” When their wedding detail questionnaire responses rolled in, I knew we were a great fit.
”How did you two meet?
Will and I met at work. We’re both accountants by trade, which is why you can’t expect too much creativity or spontaneity from us. We were friends for a long time before dating. We bonded over a shared love of food, sarcasm, and sharing stories. Will’s from England and I’m from Florida so our differences in background made conversation easy. Will is laid back, patient, and goes with the flow. I’m the opposite, in every possible way. But we balance each other out somehow (and he manages to not kill me). The man deserves to be canonized.”
Their Fort Lauderdale wedding day began and ended at the W Hotel, with a Catholic ceremony at St. David’s in Davie. And with a team of fabulous vendors perfectly managed by Mia (credited at the end), M & W’s Fort Lauderdale wedding will forever be a favorite.
