Villa Woodbine has always been a dream wedding venue of mine. I’ve worked there in the past as an assistant, second-photographer, and with the Juju Booth photo booth, but this was my first wedding at the iconic Miami wedding venue. Maxie and Rob found me on Fearless Photographers, so I knew they were looking for a classic, romantic feel for their Villa Woodbine wedding photos.
Villa Woodbine is truly a fairy-tale wedding venue. The garden setting, pops of color in the tiles, romantic vibe, and of course the famous chandelier hanging from the twinkling tree are just some of the pieces that make this Miami wedding venue a local treasure. And Rob and Maxie are as sweet as they are outwardly beautiful.
The couple chose to get ready at Villa Woodbine, with Maxie in the upstairs suite and Rob with his guys in the living room downstairs. Having a second photographer on this day gave us lots of flexibility with the timeline of the day. While I was photographing the bride, my second shooter was with the groom.
For late-April, it was quite a warm day. Guests gathered on the back lawn for the ceremony and the wedding party lined up in front of the iconic oak tree. You don’t need much to decorate the ceremony spaces at this Miami wedding venue – it’s that pretty already!
After the ceremony, we photographed some family formals, the wedding party, and then the bride and groom all over the grounds of Villa Woodbine. Maxie mentioned she loved the tiled staircase, so I made sure we got a romantic nighttime shot there before the reception ended.
Here are some of my favorite frames from their late-April wedding in Miami.
As always, the fabulous vendors and team that made this magical day possible are credited at the end.
