“If you want to learn what someone fears losing, watch what they photograph”
Growing up, we moved around A LOT, and as a result, I’ve seen the world and lived in over 60 homes. There’s something so special about photographing a family in and around their home, especially around the holidays. I wish I had photographs of my mom helping me with drawings at the kitchen table, or dad watching me try to ride my first bike (it was a red BMX with white stars on the handlebars and I thought I was BAD.ASS.) I only hope these kids get to see these photos 10, 20, 30 years down the road and feel the love from their parents all over again.

But enough with the sentimental mushiness – the Fischer family let me crash a typical Sunday at home a couple weeks ago. From their “adopted” porch kitty, to a bike ride around the University of Miami campus, to Christmas crafts at the table – with lots of snacks and a couple meltdowns in between – here’s a Day in the Life of the Fischer family:
