Wedding at the Mayfair House Hotel & Garden

Weddings

As a Florida wedding photographer specializing in the vibrant South Florida scene, I’ve had the privilege of capturing some of the most incredible love stories. Today, I’m excited to take you on a journey to a wedding that I looked forward to all of 2023– a lovely wedding at the Mayfair House Hotel & Garden in Miami.

The Venue – Mayfair House Hotel & Garden

Nestled in the heart of Coconut Grove, the Mayfair House Hotel & Garden is a hidden gem that exudes timeless charm and sophistication. With its picturesque courtyard and elegant ballroom, it’s no wonder why couples choose this enchanting venue for their special day. I first worked at this venue when I was a “baby wedding photographer” and the renovations since then are just *chef’s kiss*. Jewel-toned rooms and suites, it’s lush garden, European-inspired architecture, the romantic ambiance – just a few points that make the Mayfair a dream wedding location.

The Ambiance

The heart of the Mayfair House Hotel & Garden is its lush courtyard garden (you’ll see more of that in their “first look” photos!) Couples are drawn to the venue for its romantic ambiance, featuring blooming flowers, winding pathways, and a serene waterfall. The garden provides a breathtaking backdrop for indoor ceremonies and receptions, creating a fairytale-like atmosphere. It’s truly unlike any other Miami wedding venue.

Alyna & Harrison – A Love Story

Both the bride and groom mentioned Taylor Swift’s “Mastermind” in their vows, so immediately I fell in love with them as a couple. But our connection also goes a little deeper – I photographed her cousin’s wedding years ago, and he officiated their ceremony! (Another “invisible string”, perhaps?)

For their wedding at the Mayfair House and Garden, A&H both chose to get ready on site. This allowed me to keep their final gallery cohesive -and inspired me to get some bold, colorful detail photos. The light in the rooms forced me to be more creative than usual, which was super fun.

From their dog Looni “helping” with the shoes, to a first look with her bridesmaids (and then with Harrison), Alyna & Harrison’s wedding day was a colorful blur of romantic moments – and hilarious speeches.

Here’s some of my favorites from their day. Vendors linked at the end, as always.
