Erica and John were referred to me by a past bride and groom, who are also in theater. I knew their Ritz Carlton Coconut Grove wedding would have all the drama! (The good kind of drama!) When you blend the splendor of autumn (well, Florida’s idea of “autumn”), Erica’s vision of glam, and the luxury of the Ritz, magic truly happens.
A venue that speaks volumes
Situated in the heart of Miami’s stunning and vibrant Coconut Grove, the Ritz Carlton offers a picturesque backdrop for any love story. Towering palm trees, classic lounge areas, and the golden hues of a Miami sunset – it’s no wonder couples are drawn to this venue!
For Erica and John, who live out of state, they weren’t crazy about the idea of their wedding photos screaming “MIAMI! PALM TREES!” So, we got creative with their wedding day photos and focused on their connection, not so much the backgrounds of the venue.
The venue itself has over 19 event spaces for your celebration. From the Ritz Carlton Ballroom to the Fountain Terrace, your guests are sure to be delighted with the overall ambiance and views.
Wedding packages at the Ritz Carlton Coconut Grove start at $185 per person, and recent reviews gush about the culinary team and pastry chef. From what I saw at the guest’s buffet, I can promise it’s all true!
How Erica and John made their day their own:
Erica called her wedding party “the bridesteam” instead of “bridal party”, (we love an inclusive bride!) and everyone on both sides had larger-than-life personalities- just like Erica and John.
John also built their chuppah for the ceremony with his own two hands! It was so sweet to watch their Instagram stories and see John working so hard on the structure. It definitely added a nice touch to their already emotional ceremony.
And we can’t forget about Erica’s stunning reception dress and surprise performances to each other! Not a dry eye in the house, I tell ya.
Oh and THE BAND. It’s such a vibe when a live band is at a wedding reception. The energy is unmatched! And with a crowd full of Broadway singers, you know the band has to be good!
But enough words – here’s my favorite photos and moments from Erica and John’s Ritz Carlton Coconut Grove wedding:
