Rachel & Ty’s Fort Lauderdale beach resort wedding brought me back to one of my favorite Broward venues– the Marriott Harbor Beach Resort & Spa. This Fort Lauderdale wedding venue is a staple on the beach, and the possibilities are limitless. South Florida weddings always call for a solid “Plan B” when it comes to a rain plan, and this Fort Lauderdale resort knocks it out of the park with their indoor spaces.
On “Rain Plans” and your wedding day:
Expertly planned by Abby with Blue Orchid, their wedding day called for a tough decision to be made early in the day. Their floral and production team needed lots of time to build their ceremony space and the weather simply wasn’t cooperating. In fact, it was going to rain only during the two hours events were planned on the back lawn. Of course.
But the couple took the news well, and we got as many photos outside as we could before the ceremony. Thank goodness they opted for a first look!
An experienced wedding planner for your destination wedding is a no-brainer. Thanks to Abby with Blue Orchid Events & Design, we had a breezy timeline that even allowed us to have a cute moment with the bridesmaids for a girls-only first look. We didn’t even feel rushed for those important family photos before the ceremony!
Incredible Details
On top of those sweet moments, Rachel & Ty had some of the most incredible details I’ve ever seen. From her personalized ring box, to custom “fun-fact”cocktail napkins, not to mention the adorable bridesmaid slippers and Rachel’s Jimmy Choos (with pearls!)
