Lorraine and Jason’s South Florida Vow Renewal was one of the most special events I have photographed.
I photographed Lorraine’s friend’s daughter’s wedding a few years ago, and she reached out with the most beautiful message. She and her husband have been married for 25 years, and they wanted to rededicate their vows in front of their closest friends and family. While thousands of couples are scrambling to find a date for their 2021/2022 wedding, Lorraine said that the pandemic has “caused us to pause and take the time to count our immeasurable blessings.”
Some of those blessings are their three grown sons, and the small handful of guests that were able to witness their vow renewal at Redeeming Word in Fort Lauderdale.
Photographing south Florida weddings has brought me to some amazing couples, but it just hits different when couples that have been together for 25 years and they STILL act like newlyweds.
Jason still looks at Lorraine like the first day, and it’s obvious how much these two still love and support each other. Here’s some of my favorites from their south Florida vow renewal:
