While I've officially retired from wedding photography, I might make an exception for a truly special, intimate elopement that sparks my creativity. If you think your celebration fits the bill (or you’re feeling adventurous about breaking my no-wedding rule), feel free to reach out! Please note, I’m no longer accepting bookings for traditional weddings or events planned far in advance. Otherwise, feel free to check out our photo experiences at jujubooth.com
This Palm Beach backyard wedding is definitely a highlight of 2020. As the pandemic unfolded, a lot of couples entertained the idea of eloping or throwing an intimate wedding right in their backyard. It feels like maybe the industry is getting back to the roots of weddings and what makes them so special. All you need is each other, maybe some of your favorite people, some bright blooms and an emotional ceremony.
Ok and maybe a gate you salvaged and installed in the garden as the perfect ceremony backdrop, and a street-side reception at the Blind Monk for charcuterie doesn’t hurt either.
Meghan and I go way back to my studio days, when I was just a young photographer with two lenses trying to learn how light works. Meghan used to model for us photographers and we’ve stayed in touch through the years as she built her marketing business – and of course fell in love with Mike.
The date was set, and no matter what, Megan and Mike were going to be married. Their wedding day was relaxed and intimate, and they even helped each other – and their son – get ready. (Anyone else think all weddings should be like this?!) Here’s some of my favorites from their “backyard zoom wedding” in West Palm beach:
Huge thanks to Cynthia with Ceremonies With Cynthia and the staff of the Blind Monk in West Palm Beach.
