Coral Gables Wedding Photographer

While I've officially retired from wedding photography, I might make an exception for a truly special, intimate elopement that sparks my creativity. If you think your celebration fits the bill (or you’re feeling adventurous about breaking my no-wedding rule), feel free to reach out! Please note, I’m no longer accepting bookings for traditional weddings or events planned far in advance. Otherwise, feel free to check out our photo experiences at jujubooth.com

Sara and Paul not only planned their destination wedding from another state, but while living apart as well! Thank goodness they took my recommendation of hiring Julie from Just Glam Events to finesse the details of their elegant, Coral Gables wedding.

We may be on the verge of spring, but if you’re craving some Miami elegance with a splash of bright details, this one’s for you! Right down to Sara’s fingernails, every tiny detail made sense. My favorite detail? Her gold-dipped earrings are made from lace from her grandmother’s wedding dress!

We had plenty of time in the timeline for a sweet first look with dad AND between Paul and Sara. Paul actually scouted the first look location – the deck between the pool and restaurant and honestly, the only spot in Brickell unaffected by the 20MPH winds that day. I mean, tropical-force winds is still tropical, right?

We had to make a rain call, as gusty winds and patchy skies threatened the outdoor ceremony set up. Guests were treated to sounds of a guitarist while waiting for the ceremony to start, cones of rose petals in hand. Sara and Paul signed their ketubah in the ballroom and there wasn’t a dry eye in the house. Although we were indoors, the ceremony was still elegant, tropical, and just as special!

I’ve worked at this Coral Gables wedding venue many times before, but this is the first time I’ve seen the ballroom transformed into something more tropical. The bright pinks and fuchsias in the florals by Orange Blossoms (Florals & Event Styling) lit up the room while the band kept the dance floor packed all night. I’ve been spoiled with some good good horas this season!
