While I've officially retired from wedding photography, I might make an exception for a truly special, intimate elopement that sparks my creativity. If you think your celebration fits the bill (or you’re feeling adventurous about breaking my no-wedding rule), feel free to reach out! Please note, I’m no longer accepting bookings for traditional weddings or events planned far in advance. Otherwise, feel free to check out our photo experiences at jujubooth.com
Before every Day in the Life session, I send out a questionnaire:
Describe the type of session you want. Why is it meaningful for you to document?
“It’s meaningful because everything changes so quickly with these little guys and I just want to pause and savor how beautiful and hard everything is right now. I feel like so much was forgotten that I thought I would never forget and I want to remember it all.“
If there’s one thing I’ve learned about parenting since offering these DITL sessions, it’s that parenting is beautiful and hard. For Sharon and Jim, with two blonde pouty-lipped boys under the age of three, I’d say it’s mostly beautiful.

Ivar’s first words to me were “Do you have a Kia?” Not the usual greeting I get from a toddler…
“No, I have a Hyundai. It’s silver”
“Can I see it?”
Ivar is obsessed with cars and even knows the emblems by heart. When asked about Maserati – “A trident.”
For reals – this kid is wise beyond his years.

Vander doesn’t say much, but that’s expected, he’s just 11 months old. He does say “Qua qua” though – which I’m sure is from his love of the backyard ducks.Â

After his nap, Ivar’s first words were “Is Stephanie still here?”
And then I melted.
“I had a dream about your Hyundai”

Because pool bananas.

Sharon and Jim, thank you so much for letting me into your home to document your family. Although I didn’t get a single meltdown (seriously there was like 5 seconds where Ivar was upset) I loved every second spending time with y’all. Here’s to hoping I can make it to Vander’s birthday!
xo.

These are fantastic!!!
This is beautiful, stunning, amazing! As a mom, my heart melts seeing images like this. I only wish I had photos like this of my own family. As a photographer, these are the images of a family I’ve dreamed of capturing, but have had no idea how to make a reality. I do family sessions off and on, but I dread the posed aspect of it, and find myself longing for the candid, real emotion that these photos evoke. Thank you for showing me that it is possible!
It is SO possible! Thank you for your kind words – now get out there and book a photographer to do this for YOU!
Omgosh! Seriously, I I’m all teary now … what a magically ordinary lovely incredible day! I could feel the love radiating off my screen … hear the joy and laughter … feel the smiles … the whole time, thinking to myself … gawsh, I wish these were of MY family! My girlies are 9 and 11, and sadly … I’m not in a lot of the photos (nor is the hubby) because, well .. with him deployed more often than not, it’s always been me and them … and now they are NINE AND ELEVEN! Anyway … what a gift these are … this is where it’s at … these are the things we want (NEED) to remember … wow.
These are fantastic! Love every single one. Beautiful done!
