Bride and Groom on the beach after their wedding ceremony at the Kimpton Surfcomber

Kimpton Surfcomber Wedding

While I've officially retired from wedding photography, I might make an exception for a truly special, intimate elopement that sparks my creativity. If you think your celebration fits the bill (or you’re feeling adventurous about breaking my no-wedding rule), feel free to reach out! Please note, I’m no longer accepting bookings for traditional weddings or events planned far in advance. Otherwise, feel free to check out our photo experiences at jujubooth.com

Mariand and Nick work in live theater in NY, but when choosing their wedding venue, they just knew they had to come back home to Miami. Mariand loves the natural light and vibrant colors of the Kimpton Surfcomber, and wanted something different than a typical glitzy ballroom Miami wedding. The Kimpton Surfcomber did not disappoint.

But with perfect overcast light comes the threat of rain, and as any Florida native knows – you just never know. While the reception had to be moved indoors, we were fortunate to have light breezes and steely blue skies for their romantic ceremony on the beach.

Luckily, the couple chose to do a first look, which allowed us time for some romantic portraits on the property of the Kimpton Surfcomber (those yellow rocking chairs are my favorite!) We also had time for some photos with their wedding party and the cutest flower girls you’ve ever seen.

After saying “I do” on the sand -and dodging a light sprinkle – the newlyweds brought the dancing (I mean, dance battles!) inside after the taco bar dinner. Here are some of my favorites from their perfect Kimpton Surfcomber wedding:

Venue : Kimpton Surfcomber Hotel
Hair & Makeup : Elizabeth C Williams
Florals : Gil Sosa Design
Photo Booth : Juju Booth
DJ : DJ Zak Mann
