All the way from Indiana, Madi & Ryder pulled off the perfect Fort Lauderdale destination wedding at the Pelican Grand Beach Resort. It was a gloomier-than-normal morning, and I’m pretty sure the venue wanted to make a rain-call, but Madi went with her gut and moved forward with the beach-side ceremony.

And it was perfect.

The winds may have been a little high, but it just added to the movement in her veil (especially during their AMAZING first kiss as husband and wife!)

After their blue sky ceremony on the beach, Madi, Ryder, and their closest friends and family from Indiana and beyond danced the night away in the ocean facing ballroom. It got a little hot in there, but luckily some guests had fans. You bet I kept my camera close to those guests all night. (And then bought my very own clap fan for the photo booth, ha!)

Florida destination weddings just feel different. I don’t know if its the warmer weather, or the fact that I take being barefoot in the sand while working for granted, but there’s something special about out-of-towners celebrating together in a new location like Fort Lauderdale.
