Sara and Paul are planning their 2022 wedding and decided on Fairchild Tropical Garden for their engagement session. You’d think planning their session in early December we’d get a bit of a cool breeze, but nope. We were glistening and fighting off mosquitoes just minutes into our session together. Sara grew up not far from the gardens, so it was nice to add a bit of “hometown” to their engagement session.
Photographing these two felt like hanging with old friends – you just can’t beat the connection you make with clients that choose to add an engagement session to their collection.
Fairchild Tropical Garden has a nighttime holiday light party, so we got to take advantage of the twinkling lights (and misters!) as we walked through.
If you’re interested in lush greenery, gorgeous golden afternoon light, and plenty of variety for your engagement session photos, Fairchild Tropical Gardens is a great choice! They do ask for a permit, which is very affordable, but you’ll have to shoot a little early as they currently close at 4pm. We started our session at 2:30 and still had incredible light!
After our session we met at Peacock Cafe in Coconut Grove for a cocktail and a little “getting to know you” conversation. The staff there were SO friendly and helpful and let us grab a few more photos before the sun set.
