I promise I’ll get to the photos from their Broken Sound Country Club wedding, but let me give you the back story on why this one is so special to me…

Meredith and I go way back – way back to 2010 when I was fresh from a 6 week Europe trip and started a job at a local Sports Bar. We were roommates for threeorfouryears (don’t kill me – its all a blur!) Mer witnessed the growth of Sonju Photography – she heard all of the next-day wedding stories, celebrated the highs and promised me that when the day comes, I’d be a guest at her wedding and I wouldn’t have to work…

So when Brandon finally proposed, I had dreams of dressing up cute, attending a wedding as a guest, and FINALLY GETTING CAKE.

But before the invitations went out, I had an inquiry for the same date I couldn’t refuse. So I offered to have my good friend and associate Jodi photograph the wedding under the Sonju Photography brand and I still had the chance to party for the last three hours or so – AND PARTICIPATE IN A SPARKLER EXIT! I trust Jodi and knew she’d capture beautiful moments of the day, even with the challenge of rain all day.

We built the wedding day timeline so that Meredith had coverage with her girls in the beginning of the day, plenty of time for bridal portraits (SUCH a treat to do these – it’s rare!), and a dress-twirlin’ first look, all before the family formals and Ketubah signing.
